Job Posting – Food Security Coordinator
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain a food distribution network in schools while fostering positive relationships with them;
- Coordinate food orders and deliveries with partners and suppliers;
- Recruit, train, and manage a team of volunteers;
- Ensure the cleanliness, safety, and proper management of the physical hub space;
- Keep all service-related data and records updated;
- Collaborate with the accounting department to maintain accurate accounts payable and receivable records.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree in business administration, project management, or a related field;
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in project development and management;
- At least five (5) years of experience in the education, health, or community development sectors;
- Strong communication and volunteer/group management skills are considered an asset;
- Any other combination of education and experience may be considered.
Skills and Competencies:
- Leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate volunteers;
- Strong analytical and planning abilities;
- Effective communication skills, capable of conveying information clearly to management, the board of directors, and key partners;
- Proficiency in IT tools, including Microsoft 365 and accounting software;
- Excellent oral and written communication in both official languages (English and French).
Employment Conditions:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday;
- Full-time position, 35 hours per week, with a one-year contract (possibility of renewal);
- Salary: $69,824 to $77,072, based on education, experience, and the salary scale;
- Workplace: To be determined.
