Bathurst, May 27, 2026 — The Chaleur Regional Services Commission (Chaleur RSC) was honoured at the 2026 Community Advisory Board (CAB) Summit, recently held in Fredericton, in recognition of its leadership and the work accomplished through the implementation of the Harbour of Hope, a new service aimed at addressing homelessness in the Bathurst region.

Since officially opening on April 1, 2026, the Harbour of Hope has quickly become an essential resource for many vulnerable individuals in the region. By providing a safe environment and improved access to resources and support services, this initiative is making a meaningful difference in the lives of people experiencing vulnerability.

This provincial recognition highlights the importance of collaboration among community partners, government organizations, and regional stakeholders who worked together to bring this hopeful and impactful project to life.

The Chaleur RSC would like to recognize the outstanding commitment of the members of the Chaleur Regional Community Advisory Board, partner organizations, and its employees, whose dedication and hard work made this important initiative possible.
