Our Recycling Program Is Now Managed by Circular Materials, a not-for-profit organization committed to building an efficient recycling system in New Brunswick, now manages our recycling program. The province is transitioning to an Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) model for the recycling of packaging and paper products. Under this model, brand owners—the organizations that produce these materials—are responsible for their management and funding, rather than municipal entities. This transition, which began on November 1, 2023, is expected to continue through 2027, with the goal of delivering a more efficient and harmonized recycling program across the province.

Residents can now place white polystyrene foam and deposit-bearing beverage cartons in their blue bin. Glass and soft plastics are not accepted in the blue bin.

For any questions related to recycling (new bins in the affected areas, missed collections, accepted materials, and general information), residents can contact the local recycling collector serving their area. To find your collector, recycling schedule, and other specific details, visit your local webpage.
