Refrigeration appliances, such as refrigerators, freezers, portable air conditioners, and similar equipment, contain refrigerant gases that are potent greenhouse gases. If these gases are released into the atmosphere, they contribute significantly to global warming and environmental degradation. For this reason, these appliances must never be disposed of with regular household waste.
When brought to our landfill site (free of charge for residents), we work with a certified contractor to safely recover and neutralize the refrigerant gases before the remainder of the appliance is processed for recycling.
