The Chaleur Regional Service Commission is a return point for tires as part of the Tire Stewardship Program, managed by Recycle NB. Through this program, residents can drop off their old tires for free at the Red Pine Waste Management Site. The tires will be stored at Red Pine before being picked up by a company and transported to TRACC (Tire Recycling Atlantic Canada Corporation) in Minto, New Brunswick, where they will be recycled into various products..
All retailers selling tires in New Brunswick must register with the Tire Stewardship Program. This means that residents can also drop off their old tires for free at any retailer, with a limit of 5 tires at a time due to storage capacity.
If you have large quantities of tires to recycle, you can contact Recycle NB at 1-888-322-8473.
Tires larger than 22.5 inches are not accepted.
Businesses with a minimum of 50 tires without rims to dispose of can contact TRACC for free pickup at 506-454-8473.
